מכון ון ליר בירושלים מזמין סטודנטים בשלב כתיבת עבודת הדוקטור ופוסט-דוקטורנטים חדשים להצטרף לעמיתי הספרייה ולהשתלב בקהילת החוקרים במכון.
עמיתי הספרייה נהנים מיתרונותיה של קהילת החוקרים הבין-תחומית של הספרייה ומקבלים גישה לאוספי הספרייה, הכוללים יותר מ-40,000 ספרים וכתבי עת, בעיקר בתחומי הפילוסופיה, ההיסטוריה, מדע המדינה והדת.
עמיתי הספרייה נדרשים לעבוד בספרייה לפחות יומיים בשבוע. תינתן עדיפות למועמדים ממדעי הרוח והחברה שעבודתם עולה בקנה אחד עם נושאי המחקר של המכון:
- קדושה, דת וחילון
- מדע, טכנולוגיה וציוויליזציה
- ישראל במזרח התיכון
- אתגר החיים המשותפים
- פמיניזם ומגדר
המעוניינים מתבקשים לשלוח מכתב פנייה קצר ובו כמה פרטים ביוגרפיים, נושא הדוקטורט ותחומי מחקר עיקריים בצירוף קורות חיים אל פרופ' שי לביא, ראש מכון ון ליר בירושלים, באמצעות ביילה פסיקוב library3@vanleer.org.il לא יאוחר מ-29 באוגוסט 2024.

Junior Library Fellows of the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute
The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute is accepting applications for Junior Library Fellows. Students writing their PhD dissertations or those who have recently received their PhD are invited to join our community of scholars.
Junior Library Fellows will enjoy the benefits of the Library’s interdisciplinary community of scholars and will have access to the Library’s collection, which contains over 40,000 books and journals, primarily in the fields of philosophy, history, political science and religion.
Junior Library Fellows are expected to be at the library at least twice a week. Preference will be given to applicants in the Humanities and Social Sciences whose work is related to the Institute’s research themes:
- Sacredness, Religion, and Secularization
- Israel in the Middle East
- The Challenge of Living Together
- Feminism and Gender
