Position Opening

The Division of Public Administration & Policy in the School of Political Sciences invites applications for a tenure track position beginning 1 October 2026.

The position is open to individuals at all stages of their career and all ranks, but candidates must have their Ph.D. by October 2026. Specialization is sought in Public Administration, Public Policy, and/or Public Management. Sub-expertise in fields such as (but not limited to) Technology; Big-Data & Computational Social Sciences; Sustainability, Ecology & Environmental Science; and Law is welcome.

Evidence of excellence in scholarly publications, research, and teaching are required.

Please submit a letter of application, CV, and a list of publications. Please provide a research plan, samples of 3 published works and three letters of recommendation (including the PhD supervisor and Post-doc supervisor – if relevant).

The Division of Public Administration & Policy and the School of Political Sciences at The Herta and Paul Amir Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Haifa are top ranked centers for the study of political science, public administration & policy, and international relations in Israel (The Division research field is ranked 37th worldwide according to the 2023 Shanghai Ranking). Faculty members are internationally recognized as leading scholars in their fields and the school is on a rapid track of expansion and development.

Rank of entry will be decided based on academic qualifications. Final decisions are subject to resource availability, consideration of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Rector (Provost).
