5-9 November 2018: 1st SIMM-seminar in Helsinki
The international research platform SIMM and the Sibelius Academy (UniArts) in Helsinki have the pleasure to invite applications for a place in the 1st SIMM research seminar dedicated to methodology in research on the possible role of music in social and community projects. The seminar will take place from 5 – 9 November 2018 in Helsinki, Finland.
This research-seminar proposes to allow post-graduate students and early-career researchers involved in ongoing research on the possible role of music in social and community work (SIMM) to spend a week together and share their research experiences.
A number of expert facilitators and researchers associated to SIMM will also be present: Prof. Heidi Westerlund (Sibelius Academy, Finland), Dr. James Butterworth (University of Oxford, UK), Dr. An De Bisschop (University College Ghent, Belgium) and Dr. Graça Mota. Other researchers might be present but are yet to be confirmed.
Applications are expected by 31 Julyat the latest and are to be sent by e-mail to info@simm-platform.eu. The selection of those invited to participate in this SIMM-seminar will be communicated to all applicants by the end of August.
