אני מעבירה בקשה של שתי חוקרות נפלאות וחברות נהדרות – איימי ג’ורדן וויקי כץ – שעורכות סקר בינלאומי של סטודנטים להשכלה גבוהה לתואר ראשון ומקביליו על ההשלכות של המעבר ללימודים מרחוק בעקבות המשבר הנוכחי. הן כבר אספו נתונים מאלפי משיבים בארה”ב ומרחיבות עכשיו למדינות נוספות מתוך תקווה שהממצאים יסייעו בגיבוש המלצות לעתיד, בנוסף לתיאור המצב הקיים.
אני מעבירה את הטקסט שלהן למטה עם הבקשה להעביר לסטודנטים שלכם/ן. צורפה בקשה להעביר לקולגות המלמדים במקצועות המדעיים הקשים ובתחומים שיש בהם אחוז גבוהה יותר של גברים – כדי לקבל תמונה מעמיקה ורחבה יותר על עמדות בדיסציפלינות שונות.

Dear colleagues,
I am writing to ask for your help in distributing an important, time-sensitive study of how undergraduates’ experiences with remote learning have been affected by disparities in access to technology and stable WiFi.
My colleagues at Rutgers School of Communication and Information in the USA (Drs. Vikki Katz and Amy Jordan) have developed this IRB-approved, anonymous, 10-minute survey that I am asking you to distribute to your undergraduate courses, as I have to my own. I am including the boilerplate they provided for writing to students, so that it is quick and easy for you to send on.
Drs. Katz and Jordan have promised to share aggregated findings as soon as the data analysis is complete, so that we may all benefit from student feedback as we look to the future. I am emailing to invite you to participate to a national study to understand undergraduates’ experiences with remote learning. The study is being led by Drs.
