The Global Conference on Women and Gender - Community, Care, and Crisis
This interdisciplinary conference brings together participants from all academic fields to engage in wide-ranging, critical conversations about:
- How communities are developed, fostered and destroyed in the small- and large-scale
- Who is most entitled to care and who must/can give it
- How crisis affects both communities as a whole and the individuals within them
- How all of these questions are shaped by the ways gender is constructed, legislated, resisted and performed
We encourage contributors to have an expansive understanding of the conference theme as participants discuss the past, present and future of community, care and crisis throughout the world.
