Lecturer in Ancient History
We wish to appoint a temporary Lecturer within the School of Classics. This post is available from 1 September 2018 and is fixed-term until 31 August 2019. You will be a scholar with a growing international research reputation and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of interests, to be active in producing internationally excellent research publications that strengthen or complement the School’s existing expertise, and to be capable of outstanding teaching to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds. We have a particular teaching need in Greek History. Candidates should hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. You should also have some familiarity with grant-seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources.
