Job profile
The successful candidate pursues an individual research project within the frame of the IEG research agenda “Negotiating differences in Modern Europe” (https://tinyurl.com/yd4k7mmv). The innovative project contributes to one of the three research areas of the IEG, preferably the research area “Sacralisation and Desacralisation”.
In connection with the individual research, the distinguished candidate also advises international PhD candidates who are writing up their dissertations in the context of the Institute’s renowned PhD fellowship programme. Research Fellows are expected to organise academic events and contribute to the development of the IEG research profile. The IEG Research Fellowship does not involve mandatory teaching, but the Institute encourages the acquisition of further academic qualifications through teaching activities at suitable University departments.
Qualifications and Requirements
· university degree in history
· completed PhD
· openness towards interdisciplinary cooperation within the IEG research agenda
· interest in Digital Humanities
· distinguished international research profile
· good knowledge of German, or the willingness to learn the language in due course
