American Association of Geographers' Annual Meeting
Join fellow geographers, GIS specialists, environmental scientists, and other leaders for the latest in research and applications in geography, sustainability, and GIScience. The meeting will be held Wednesday, April 3, to Sunday, April 7, 2019. and will feature more than 6,000 presentations, posters, workshops, and field trips by leading scholars, experts, and researchers.
The AAG accepts all submitted abstracts and organized sessions for presentation. The registration fee must be paid prior to abstract submission. You may only submit one abstract for presentation and be a panelist in one panel session. If you opt not to submit an abstract, you may be a panelist twice. There is no limit on how many sessions you may organize.
Each year, the AAG Council and Executive Director identify a couple themes for its Annual Meeting to help focus discussion and provide a fresh and engaging structure to the conference program. As always, any topic relevant to geography is welcome at the AAG Annual Meeting. Please check back soon for more information.

Geographies of Human Rights: The Right to Benefit from Scientific Progress
AAG is a Founding Organization of the Science and Human Rights Coalition, partnering with the American Association for the Advancement of Science and 24 other professional and academic science and social science organizations. This Special Theme builds on this cross-disciplinary partnership to promote human rights through the benefits of science and our disciplines, and celebrates the 10th anniversary of the SHR Coalition in 2019.
