Fellowships for Post-doctoral Scholars
The Armenian Studies Program (ASP) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor invites applications for the Manoogian post-doctoral fellowship in Armenian Studies. This full-time twelve-month position is open to junior scholars who have completed a PhD within the last three years. The goal of the fellowship is to offer a vibrant intellectual environment in which outstanding junior scholars will be able to conduct their research and have the opportunity to teach one course. Fellows will be expected to participate regularly in the ASP events, present one public lecture, and teach one undergraduate course while in residence. Scholars are required to spend the 2019-20 academic year (September –August) in residence at the University of Michigan.
ASP will award up to two one-year Post-doctoral fellowships for the 2019-20 academic year.
Fellowships for Visiting Scholars
The Armenian Studies Program (ASP) invites senior scholars in the Humanities and the Social Sciences to apply for the Manoogian Visiting Scholar Fellowship in Armenian Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The purpose of the Fellowship is to diversify the Armenian studies curricular offerings to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Michigan.
Visiting Scholars, who are invited for one semester (Fall or Winter), will be asked to teach one class, participate in ASP sponsored events, and present one public lecture. Fellowships may also be offered for mini-courses to be taught over three or four weeks. Preference will be given to candidates outside the disciplines of history, language, and literature which are already taught by our ASP faculty. Previously awarded visiting scholars should wait seven years before applying for this program again.
The scope and number of fellowships awarded is contingent upon the availability of funds.
