Call for Book Proposals – Monographs or Edited Volumes on Cultural Studies
Vernon Press invites book proposals for edited volumes, co-authored books and single-author monographs on Cultural Studies.
Cultural Studies emerged in the late 1950s in Britain and it became established in subsequent years among scholarly circles. Since then, it has become one of the most significant fields of study in academia, with input in areas like sociology, literary criticism, and, most recently, media studies. According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, “its central concerns are the place of race or ethnicity, class, and gender in the production of cultural knowledge.” But this succinct definition excludes so many other matters that have been and continue to be of significance in this area. As the interest in exploring the intersection between Cultural Studies and other subjects keeps increasing, their relevance in academic circles in more current than ever.
All proposals focused on exploring any aspect of Cultural Studies are encouraged to be submitted.
