Post-Doctoral Fellowship for the Academic Year 2021-22
in the History and Philosophy of Science
The Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Ideas, Tel Aviv University, offers one Post-Doctoral Fellowships for the academic year 2021-22, pending availability of further resources. The recipient will spend the academic year at the institute pursuing his/her own research project while interacting with faculty and students.
Fellowship award will be based on consideration of scholarly distinction and academic promise within the area of history and philosophy of science broadly construed. By the beginning of their fellowship candidates must hold a PhD degree in a relevant academic field, which has been awarded from a recognized university after September 2016.
The fellowship awards the sum of NIS 86,000, for one year, with the possibility of extending the fellowship for a second year under similar conditions.
Prospective candidates should apply by Sunday March 21, 2021. They should mail the following:
• Cover letter stating how your work adds to or interacts with the work done at the Institute (up to one page)
• Updated CV and publication list
• Current research program (3-5 pages)
• Writing sample
• Two letters of recommendation, sent directly
• All materials should be either in Hebrew or in English

The Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Ideas is a research and graduate teaching institute in the Faculty of Humanities of Tel Aviv University. It is the largest and most dynamic center for the History and Philosophy of Science and the Social Studies of Knowledge in Israel.
