The Fifteenth Century Conference 2022
Pembroke College Cambridge, Monday 5 September – Wednesday 7 September 2022
Proposals for papers are now invited for The Fifteenth Century Conference 2022. Proposals may be on any subject relating to the history of the long fifteenth century in Britain, in Ireland, or in the French territories of the English monarchy, including relations with other countries. Proposals on all kinds of history are welcome, as are interdisciplinary ones.
It is intended that papers will be up to three-quarters of an hour in length with a further quarter of an hour for questions. Papers should therefore be based on substantial original research, and be suitable for consideration for publication in the series The Fifteenth Century, which is closely associated with the Conference. (Please note: submissions to that series undergo a separate peer-review process.
Proposals from postgraduates at the later stages of doctoral work and from early-career researchers are particularly encouraged. Please note: all speakers will be expected to deliver their papers in person and to pay the standard registration and other fees. This cost-sharing helps to make the conference as affordable as possible for everyone. It is hoped, however, to offer some subvention for postgraduate students, and priority will be given to those speaking.
