Professor of Modern or Contemporary Palestinian Studies, open rank (lecturer, senior lecturer, prof.)
The Department of Middle East Studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev invites outstanding applications for a full-time, tenure-track position to commence during the academic year 2023-2024 (pending final approval by the university authorities).
Areas of expertise include modern or contemporary Palestinian studies from all academic disciplines. Possible areas of expertise include the history of Palestinian society in mandatory Palestine and/or Israel; anthropology, cultural studies and memory studies, sociology or politics of Palestinian society, past and present.
Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. Ph.D. candidates may also apply, but they will have to present a letter from their advisor, committing to graduation by March 1, 2023.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate commitment to full-time teaching, supervision of graduate students, service to the department, faculty and the university. Candidates are equally expected to present an active research and publication agenda. The instruction language is Hebrew.
