In this panel discussion, Uri Dorchin and Gabriella Djerrahian will talk about their new book, “Blackness in Israel: Rethinking Racial Boundaries.” The discussion will explore how different communities and individuals in Modern Israel engage with the identity and concept of blackness. Focusing on groups such as Palestinians, Middle Eastern Jews and Ethiopian Jews, the panel will shed new light on questions of race, ethnicity and practices of inclusion and exclusion in Israeli history and culture.
