Assistant Professor in Medieval/Early Modern Jewish History
The UNC-Chapel Hill Department of History is one of the largest academic departments within the College of Arts and Sciences. The Department is committed to the purposes of a research university, to the teaching of history at the undergraduate level as a core discipline in a liberal arts education, and to the training of graduate students.
The Department of History at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, invites applications for a tenure-track position as assistant professor in medieval/early modern Jewish history. The successful applicant will also hold the position of the Stuart E. Eizenstat Fellow at UNC-CH. The position will involve active and ongoing participation in the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies. The successful candidate will be comfortable teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The department seeks candidates whose research, teaching and service have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education
