Framing the Sacred: Shrines in European Architecture
סדנת המחקר מפגישה חוקרי אדריכלות ואמנות מהארץ, מאירופה ומארצות הברית. הסדנא הינה חלק הפרוייקט המדעי הבינלאומיהמשוטף של המחלקה לאמנות יהודית באוניברסיטת בר-אילן והמררכז “בית-תפילה” באוניסרסיטת ברונשווייג (גרדמיה). משתתפי הסדנא משתתפי יציגו מחקרים חדשניים הבוחנית את ארונות קודש בבתי-כנסת ואת המבנים שמשמשים כלי קיבולת לחפצים מקודשים בדתות אחרות. החוקרים ידונו בסמליות, בהבטים פולחניים והלכתיים ובעיצוה אדריכלי של משכנות הקדושה מהתקופה העתיקה ועד ימינו.
