Grade 7: Salary in the range £31,604 – £33,518 p.a.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our thriving History community and gain valuable teaching experience as a Departmental Lecturer in History: Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages.
You will have research and teaching interests in any aspect of Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages. You will be able to educate and inspire students in tutorials, lectures, classes and supervision at both undergraduate and graduate level. You will also be required to undertake examining and administrative work, and will engage in advanced study and original research in your field.
You will have a doctorate in a relevant field (or show evidence that a doctorate is imminent) and a publication record appropriate to your career stage. You will also have an aptitude for, plus some experience of, teaching the subject. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
The post is full-time, fixed-term for 9 months and tenable from 1 October 2018.
