Lecturer in Literature and Philosophy
The School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing is seeking to appoint a twelve-month Lectureship in Literature and Philosophy to cover the duties of a colleague on externally-funded fellowship leave.
The successful candidate will teach the second-year undergraduate module ‘Literature and Philosophy’, which is the core module for the BA in English Literature and Philosophy, and the MA module ‘Criticism / Critique’, taken by students on the Philosophy and Literature MA, as well as by MA students in the School of Literature. It might be an advantage if candidates were also able to teach on one or more of the final-year undergraduate modules in Lyric and Feminist Writing, or on second-year modules in Romanticism and Victorian Writing.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to BA and MA supervision and examining, and to teach more widely as agreed with the Head of School, along with participating in other normal duties of a Lecturer. This is an ATR post and the successful candidate will be at the same time engaged in a programme of research.
This full-time post is available from 1 September 2018 until 31 August 2019.
Closing date: 2 July 2018.
