Postdoc in Literary Studies on Aging and Well-Being

Job description
The position involves research, teaching, supervision and communication, and participation in external collaboration. It also involves administration, as negotiated.
The applicant will work in the Uses of Literature research group at the Department for the Study of Culture and be affiliated with the multidisciplinary Danish Aging Research Center (DARC), whose overarching research theme is The last years of life – health, treatment, and well-being. The postdoc will work closely together with two other postdocs hired into the project led by Professor Kaare Christensen, one anchored in an epidemiological group and one in General Practice research.
With reference to mainly Danish contemporary literary fiction which engages the topic and experience of aging and reaching the last years of life, the successful applicant will select and analyse representative literary works to give an account of how they configure perceptions of well-being, preferably in relation to the research field of narrative medicine.
