The issue of mutual relations between natural sciences, philosophy and theology is still widely discussed in academic circles and still causes a lot of controversy and misunderstandings. At the same time, a large part of the representatives of the above-mentioned fields is inclined to seek a common platform for dialogue to build a coherent view of the world. The Polish experience of this dialogue seems to be still too modest, although recently it has been growing. The organizers of the international conference “Science – Philosophy – Theology. Dialogue areas and perspectives” want to create one more opportunity for scientists, philosophers and theologians to meet in order to discuss the current state of knowledge in the fields they represent, relations between them, and set out prospects for further dialogue.

The occasion to undertake these issues is the 20th death anniversary of prof. Kazimierz Kloskowski, a lecturer at the Faculty of Christian Philosophy UKSW (formerly ATK) (died 13 October 1999) – see more: Kazimierz Kloskowski (1953-1999) – patron of the conference. His philosophical research and activity are an important part of the Polish experience of cooperation between academics representing various disciplines.

The conference is assumed to be interdisciplinary, therefore we invite representatives of natural sciences, as well as philosophers and theologians. We hope that our proposal will be received with interest by all those who are familiar with the struggle to develop a contemporary view of the world, and that the conference presentations will become an interesting contribution to the global trend of research on the possibilities of cooperation between scientists, philosophers and theologians.
