THE SEVENTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR THE STUDY OF YEMENITE JEWRY
will take place at the Ben-Zvi Institute, Jerusalem, February 24 – 26, 2020
We cordially invite researchers of relevant fields to submit proposals for lectures and discussion panels on the following topics:
- Jews and Muslims Relations in Yemen
- History, Literature and Culture of Yemenite Jewry
- Philosophy, Kabbalah and Jewish Thought in Yemen
- Contemporary Literature by Authors of Yemenite Descent
- Yemenite Aliya to Eretz Israel
- Contribution of Yemenite Jews in Israel’s Public Arena, etc.
The conference is organized by the Association for Advancement of Society and Culture, in collaboration with the Ben-Zvi Institute for the Study of Jewish Communities in the East.
It is our intention to publish proceedings of this conference, following customary academic peer-review.
Proposals should not exceed 200 words, and should be sent to Dr. Ariel Mal’achi’s at ariel@amlaw.co.il – no later than October 6, 2019
